 How we work

Pain, stiffness and discomfort may be some of the symptoms you are experiencing when you visit us and your therapist will ask you a series of questions related to your problems, work and activities to help diagnose your current problem.

A detailed physical examination will follow. Your therapist will explain the diagnosis and help you understand what’s wrong. The physiotherapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan that takes into account your lifestyle, leisure activities, and general health. This will include advice on how you can help yourself; for example, you may be shown exercises that you can do between treatment sessions. Where appropriate, physiotherapists also advise carers how they can help. Throughout the treatment or re-training program, the physiotherapist evaluates your progress at regular intervals, modifying treatment and goals when necessary. In addition, your physiotherapist will also work with you to empower and to help you learn to manage your condition independently for the longer term.

Treatment will start immediately and your first visit will take approximately one hour and any subsequent treatment will take from forty minutes to one hour depending to the chronicity & complexity of your problem.

We take a progressive and holistic approach to the treatment of pain by assessing your issues, looking beyond your problem and developing a plan of action. Not only do we love to treat short term problems, we specialize in complex and chronic pain too.

Whether it's a recent sporting injury, or a long-term issue that you've had for years, we will listen and work with you to find a solution. Many of our treatments have been scientifically validated in helping a range of issues - from spinal pain and injury, to enhancing sporting performance. Our Therapists have a real passion for helping your recovery and are experts in back pain.

Antonis Zacharopoulos MSc., MCSP

Antonis is a registered Physiotherapist who has had 15 years of experience in the physiotherapy & sports injury field. He has worked in Sweden and United Kingdom. After working for many years abroad, Antonis felt the need for a physiotherapist owned private practice that focused on "one on one" individual care with a predominantly Manual Therapy and Rehabilitation of Efficient Movement approach. Antonis approach and treatment is tailored differently to each individual with special attention given to his patient’s personal goals, abilities, time and financial constraints.

He is keenly interested in his professional growth and is constantly reviewing the most recent evidence based 'best practices' to ensure the delivery of the most effective and highest quality of care to his patients. To this purpose he committed himself to post-graduate studies and was awarded a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy  from  the University College of London in 2002.
