A-Z PHYSIO HEALTH offers this innovative programme in order to holistically approach the problems that our clients present with in our clinic.
Health coaching is becoming recognized as a new way to help individuals "manage" their illnesses and conditions, especially those of a chronic nature. The coach will use special techniques, personal experience, expertise and encouragement to assist the coachee in bringing his/her behavioural changes about.
In chronic conditions and illnesses and especially when it comes to pain, it is also very important to understand the inter-connection between the physical pain and the psychological pain. If for simplistic purposes, we are able to visualize three different planes (see below) that make up who we are, then we come one step closer to empowering ourselves to never be afraid of pain again - whether it be physical or psychological.

Life coaching is a practice that helps people identify and achieve personal goals. Life coaches assist clients by using a variety of tools and techniques drawing inspiration from disciplines such as sociology, psychology, positive adult development and career counselling.
This programme will be facilitated by Ileana Nicholson B.A. Philosophy & M.A. Performance Design and Practice.
*Ileana Nicholson has also given various lectures on philosophy, critical thinking and creative writing.

- The physical plane (this involves all the physiological mechanisms that happen both inside and outside the body – central nervous system, sympathetic nervous system, musculoskeletal system, respiratory and circulatory system, digestive system).
- The mental plane (this involves how one processes, analyzes, handles and deals with what is happening to oneself. It mostly adheres to logic and reason).
- The spiritual plane (this focuses on the aspects of the psyche and the importance of balance and harmony of the soul).
